ABOUT ARTIST
JASON
BLASCO
Jason Blasco, known musically as Blasco Says, is a Kaua’i-based American recording artist whose creative path began in 2005 as a sports journalist, writing for national local newspapers, before transitioning into a music career spanning nearly two decades.
Blasco Says has emerged as an experimental music artist, boasting spoken word, theatrical storytelling and loads of dope rap beats and features. Pairing up with Steven Henley Jr., co-owner of Plaisance Music Group, LLC provided the much-needed reverberation that catapulted Blasco Says onto a whole new level.

Leveraging experience with labels like Cash Money and Universal, Steven Henley Jr. produced Blasco Says' 2011 album, "Robb'N Hood," featuring prominent artists Cassidy, R. Kelly, and Trina. This collaboration led to the development of "Space The Rainbow," an album that established Blasco Says as a distinct artistic character. Preceding his 2016 album “Space The Rainbow,” Blasco Says featured on Twanup’s "Bieber," alongside A$AP Rocky and Azealia Banks as a feature on Twanup’s “On August 4th” album. In spite of its removal from Spotify (but availability on all other major platforms), boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Mystikal, 3D Na'Tee, Kevin Gates ("Nolia Saints"), Juvenile ("Tired of the Hustle"), ScHoolboy Q, Lil Dicky, and a spoken-word interlude by Wanda Sykes ("That's So Gay"). The unexplained removal from Spotify adds an intriguing layer to the album's story. After the release of “Space The Rainbow,” Blasco Says released, “The Case of Searcy Mason, C.I.P.I.” in 2018, featuring outtakes from his previous album. Blasco’s sophomore album was significantly different from his more commercially viable debut album. In contrast to the first record, Blasco Says had no notable features and even used his own childhood scrapbooks to piece together for his lyrics on this album. During COVID-19, Blasco Says went into hiatus and he transitioned on his career as sports journalist, Jason Blasco, only to come out from the COVID restrictions, stronger than ever as he released his third album, “Valediction” in 2021 which features hits “Drop, Baby, Drop,” featuring Honolulu R&B/Soul singer Koko Charli and Henley and “Coconut Water” and picked up work as a publicist for local Kauai singer-songwriter David Parsons III. Currently, Blasco Says is working on releasing various singles, starting off with, “Klosed Door” to be released spring 2025, with the goal of writing songs for other major and indie recording artists
